Washing the van when wild camping.

Lizis OK helping me she's in pain too, knackered shoulders, I think I might try doing it when we get home just one side at a time o er a few days but not the roof as I don't have any means to get at it.

Find your local "fit" handy man. Get him to put foam covers round his ladders and let him do the roof. Thats what I did, the rest of the van I did myself. It cost me £30. He asked for a tenner but I give him £30.

So 3 tenors then.

You dirty lot o_O I am most disappointed :(

All that money on what can only be described as a bloody expensive toy to satify your leisure needs and you can`t be bothered to keep it clean.

To the best of my ability i kept ours as clean as possible, lots and lots and lots and lots of polish with carnauba ( which i had with me ) helped enormously.

I also had and still have one of these which works remarkably well for the money.

I got told off years ago by the new local garage owner....my car had apparently dropped a mix of mud and cow manure on his workshop floor when he hit it with his mot hammer.....rumour had it he used to manage a rolls royce dealership....ever since then ive washed my vehicles regularly wether they need it or not just before they go in for mot.
He also said summit about they needed to be able to see of the rear lights were on.

Love Hippies. Wore flowers in my hair at Uni and went on Anti war peace marches etc.
Don't wear the flowers now because I'm folically challenged (but do have a beard so that may qualify me!)

You may have been replying to Kev, but you posted as a response to my post in which I said "Most but not all"

But you offered those two companies as proof that "Most but not all" was not correct

Read it again, it it does not imply this, but you may well have inferred it.

I am not aware of any order. You either qualify for exemption under one or more criteria or you don't qualify.

I posted to inform members about exemption for Special Priority customers and the need to check with their water authority about what the situation.
It was a genuine attempt to help people and not my intention to argue with anyone.
One of us is cracking up and I will admit it could be me. I have gone through this thread again and I can't see where I put 'Most, but not all". It is you that stated that?

Yes and you replied "where did you get that from?"

I'm certainly not "Cracking up".

I did that years ago.

Why do people argue on forums? It's a place to share knowledge and have a bit of a large.

This forum reminds me of the Pit village that I grew up in.

For years two miners had a on going disagreement (nobody knows what started it but it was probably something like an Offside decision).
It got to the stage were if one was in a pub and the other walked in the landlord would immediately ban the seconf guy from entering.
One day there was a cave in and one of them was injured.
His nemesis lead the rescue party and he was bought out alive.

From that day forward, nothing changed. The dispute continued and if anything got worse often ending in drunken street brawls.

Like I said this forum reminds me of the village. When someone needs help it is given, but arguments are an integral part of the structure.
