Washing the van when wild camping.

Clean the M/Home before depatrture. Carry a Leiffheit extending pole and microfibre window cleaning kit plus collapsible bucket to give it a 'cat's lick' wash of the front screen, or sometimes the entire cab area plus the number plates. If the solar throws a hissy fit, try to get to a platform to give the panel a quick clean. The more thorough cleaning waits until we are home

I remember reading it when I was researching the requirement for "Special Priority" (which I now have) exemption.

In England and Wales, there are 11 large regional water and sewerage companies, plus a number of smaller "water-only" companies.
Scotland and Northern Ireland have different structures, with services largely in public ownership, so they do not have the same privatized model as England and Wales. So the two English companies that you checked don't prove that all companies exempt Blue Badge holders.

I have no problems with people assuming they are exempt and not checking. If they get fined I will not be the one paying.

Applying Pascal's wager proved that it is logical to check with your local provider.

Howevr, if you do research all the companies and find that they all exempt BB holders I will abjectly apologise.

Kev is in Yorkshire

Those on t'other (i.e. wrong) side of the Pennines believe that nothing outside the Ridings is relevant.
Many think that the world ends at their borders.

My point was that those of us who live is a civilised place should not assume that all water authorities exempt BB holders of Special Priority customers.

Well it's easy enough for them to check, just go to whoever provides their water. I would be surprised though if they aren't all the same

Which is what I said.
Why does it always seem to be you that I clash with, don't you like hippies or something? :)

I don't think I ever said ALL companies, I was replying to Kev who lives in Yorkshire.

You mentioned about me checking all companies, I only check wherever I may be when I may want to do something which is why I only knew about 2 companies.

Your post inferred that Blue Badge users may not get the exemption but Priority Service do. I think, (only my thoughts though) that the order the exemptions were put in was, disabled, blue badge holder, priority customer. The order may have varied with supplying company but that's the order I became aware in Derbyshire years ago

No need for us to check with our water company, Wessex Water haven't had a hosepipe ban since "the decade that taste forgot" - the '70s

All the water i want behind my house 365 days a year, down a few steps bingo.

Love Hippies. Wore flowers in my hair at Uni and went on Anti war peace marches etc.
Don't wear the flowers now because I'm folically challenged (but do have a beard so that may qualify me!)

You may have been replying to Kev, but you posted as a response to my post in which I said "Most but not all"

But you offered those two companies as proof that "Most but not all" was not correct

Read it again, it it does not imply this, but you may well have inferred it.

I am not aware of any order. You either qualify for exemption under one or more criteria or you don't qualify.

I posted to inform members about exemption for Special Priority customers and the need to check with their water authority about what the situation.
It was a genuine attempt to help people and not my intention to argue with anyone.
