Vpn not working

I've had the same problem! If you look at the message that comes up on I player when you try to access it says something like you are not in the UK or are using a van - big brother, or rather auntie, knows what you are trying to do.
Where are you? x

Hi Sue, I'm at a beach near Aguilas. Did you read my post saying I'd contacted IPVanish and they've admitted they're no good for BBC as they've been rumbled. I followed iampatman's suggestion and downloaded Surf Easy. And it was! Got access to iPlayer immediately. Think I'm on a free trial too. Hope you're both ok. Shall I get in touch when near, if you're still there? Xx

I tried DuckDuckGo but BBC still knew I was outside UK grrr!

Yep worked it out, there are vpn under linux/win which should be in gb to get it to work,do hold onto the duck as you are hidden and safe to browse .
Just looked at tor web browser running the duck, bbc will not let me in.
You must have a static uk home ip for them to cross ref for license,so you are locked in and well and truly stuffed.

Try VPNExpress

Carol I note that your software "Hides" your IP Hence IPVanish

VPN express allows you to use an IP address in UK ..there is a choice of 3

I use just one of them and It has been very reliable

You have the ability to switch it on or off..If I do not want the BBC I sometimes have it switched off but this sometimes means when I switch it on whilst broswing then BBC says not in UK. In this case a machine reboot Switch on VPN then try again has I think been 100% succesfull

My email client seems to have a problem receiving mail (but not sending) if VPN is active so de-activate "send and receive" re-activate

I write this post whilst downloading from BBC

I believe a VPN client also give more protection for say internet banking

I looked at surf easy and the limit was 500mb on the free one which would only allow 1/2 hr viewing. I’ll look again! Here until 1st Feb but need a day or so prior to sort ourselves out to leave. Do get in touch when you are nearer, plenty of space to park xx

I didn't see that but I'm downloading from iPlayer to watch later. Iampatmen recommends it. I don't know how much a monthly sub is though. It was just so easy to set up and use immediately compared to others I tries after the reply from IPVanish.

Hi Carol,

We have SurfEasy on 2 iPhones and 2 iPads and pay £22.99 per annum.
Enjoy Aguilas, the Saturday market is a good one there if you haven’t been before.

Hi Carol,
ArkVPN has an app that worked for me last year. It has a free element and you can add a free 15 minute daily allowance which you can build up and use as a backup if nothing else is working.

I’ve started the free trial with Surfeasy, it’s £8.99 after one week and it didn’t say how long that was for so be careful you might run yourself up a big bill!

Haha, Ken, that made me laugh! Firstly, is it a week and secondly is it only a hundred miles? Must check my phone to see what day it is! Hope you're ok xx
