I thought that too, hardly a safety issue, but if a advisory were to be issued then no one would do anything about it. Just to be more pedantic it's 1.5mm for pads and 1.6 for tyres? Measured my old ones and 1.8mm at worst point so well in tolerance .
Tester was pleased to see I had proper van 'C' tyres on it with a high load rating
