Who says he didn't (well he maybe didn't), an advisory for 'thin' brake pads means they are still legal and able to function perfectly correctly, but they will need replacing at some time soon. I had the same advisory a couple of weeks back and was well aware that the brakes where fine, but they will be replaced soon.And what excuse have you for not going over the brakes before the test, 20 lashes at dawn, yes correct some thinks very silly at mot, i have caught them out twice here and beat them.

Fact is you knew when you ordered those plates that you were ordering them from a show plates supplier, and you knew they were not compliant (just to same as me tbh) you can’t really complain.
