Triple QX 10w40 Semi-Synthetic

My van is a Peugeot Boxer, X244, 2.8 HDi which was built in Jan 2006 and had the habitation side built in May 2006 but was only first registered on the 1st May 2007.

It has all the relevant stickers and labels in the engine bay to confirm the base vehicle build date and i have the Certificate of Conformity to confirm the habitation build date.

I am the first registered keeper so i know the vehicle from start of use.

When you put my registration into the parts supply company it very often tells me that i have a 2007 Peugeot Boxer, X250, 3.0 Hdi.

That is probably because my van was only registered after the X244 had ceased production so it assumes it is a newer X250.

To add to the confusion my van has a personal registration and one firm once told me i had a 1983 van because the reg is A** ***.

They used to regularly offer the wrong parts so what i then started doing was to order everything manually rather than off the registration number.

Several companies do not like this and insist on using the registration number, in that case i buy elsewhere.

Ok soI went with the 10w40 Semi-Synthetic.

Luckily I checked the cans, the bloke brought out the wrong stuff, Fully synthetic by mistake.:rolleyes2:

They have some really good deals but you do need to check as some of the staff are not exactly the brightest sparklers in the pack :rolleyes2:

I`m lucky as i have a branch 10-15 minutes from my house so i normally collect.

Ordered mine on line....got a call on my mobile 5 mins later saying ready for pick up....local branch on Walton Summit (Preston) said I was 3rd person that morning to use this deal. Thanks Graham.

Ok, if it's running well on fully synthetic then i would stick with that until you can get a proper Citroen Relay owners manual.

I`ve just had a quick look and both Eurocarparts and Carpart4less say fully synthetic for a 2004 Relay 2.2 HDi.

It's good to see that several members have now benefited from this deal

It's a good idea to check with at least two suppliers - although those two are the same company, hence the similarity in their websites.

Mine arrived today - thanks again Wooie1958!
