Come on man, a bit harsh. Plus no one is forcing you to purchase the product. I have no requirement for such a product, as I have an easy access drain.

You surely have to commend any individual that thinks out of the box.............no?

I nearly said, bog :)

Not meant to be harsh, just a different opinion on value for money. I don't mind spending 7 or 8 Euros on wine to bring home, but I know several people on the Forum who would have an apoplectic fit at thought of paying more than two.

Too negative

Come on guys why so negative we're always complaining that we're in a minority and no ones interested in us or our needs here's someone trying and thinking outside the box I think it's a great idea and may not be to every ones liking but we as a so called community should encourage every little bit of help we get what if this was fitted to one of the pub stop overs would the nockers use it then bet they would hope it works out for you I know how hard and the expenceive Of patent and bringing a new product to market.

Hi gang,
I am all for New & Innovative ideas that can give you Options, I myself have been involved in developing a fair few over the years myself, So this is a Brilliant idea Option in my view, OF COURSE Good & Bad feed back is ALL useful & as with most things this may be improved or altered at some point & the MK 2 will be born no doubt, Thanks for the peek.
Like anything, It suits some more than others, & Lets be fair, Those that have Houses or Property also have inside sink Taps, But an Outside Tap is SO handy to have isn't it, You see That's the point, its just about offering Options.

My Personal view is Yes its a Tad Dear, & I would have thought about having more of a 'Running Branch' type connection of the same diameter, as apposed to the smaller diameter Tight sweep collar fixing Favoured. Something like this -

Redirect Notice

Caped with something like this in the Access / Pouring end -
Redirect Notice

Just a saw will be required to Cut a section out of existing Soil Pipe to install, & No drilling into house required. It can be installed into the Stink Pipe so the Pouring access point is at right angles (Outermost) to the house wall, Giving you More room to Stand & Pour regardless of what Hand or stance you favour.
But its SO much easier to suggest things once someone like you has done all the hard work in the first place.

An innovative product like this has to be applauded as it attempts to solve a particular issue albeit for probably a small number of users. Having had many years of dubious pleasure emptying the contents of a cassette i can envisage possible issues. If you are of the type that use the toilet for solids and liquids you will eventually encounter the dreaded bunged up spout syndrome, where the cassette is still heavy but the flow is compromised much agitation is required to overcome the blockage, a bigger sewage acceptance portal would be good to provide a bigger target to avoid spillage perhaps a screw on adapter could be designed to facilitate this (similar to a funnel with a screw adapter attached) and i do wonder if the small outlet would be prone to blockage perhaps not? time will tell. the idea that this could be used on a POI for example a pub stop i think is problematic. I have seen disposal facilities that have a large acceptance orifice and a flushing tap in a really disgusting state so i dread to think what would happen when this is attached to the buildings outside wall. It will no doubt be entirely suitable for a domestic environment where the user is careful, however once you let the public at it don't be surprised at the ensuing pile that will appear.
I wish you well with this product however for me the toilet is a better option.

Dave, if you use laundry tablets instead of toilet fluid, the solids get broken down and there should be no lumps to cause a problem.

Thanks for that however we have used Bio Tablets or more recently fluid for many years and can confirm it is a good and economical alternative to the traditional fluids. It does appear however that whilst my humble efforts are small in size and fragranced like roses rendering them ideal for the biological / anaerobic action which means they rapidly liquefy, the same cannot be said for the females who travel with me from time to time namely the wife and two granddaughters their deposits can best be described as robo-turds that cannot be penetrated by normal means only by armor piercing shells. Only joking (honest) however i have never noticed truly smooth effluent especially when paper is involved. And any efforts to smash it up with the potato masher is scorned upon apparently it taints the next batch of mash. ;)

surely its normally clumps of tissue that cause blockages? if only the most soiled tissue is put into the cassette, and the other, slightly damp, tissue is disposed of in discrete plastic bags into rubbish bins, then you should not get blocked up cassette tubes .... simples

Did I read that correctly. 45 quid for a piece of plastic to avoid carrying the cassette into the house?

I'll nip your cassette upstairs for you for £40 provided you pick a day when my hips are not giving me any gyp.

Like the look of that but unfortunately my stench pipe is approx 150 years old and cast iron, looks like I will have to carry on emptying it down the loo.

Serious answer for once... You can cut into cast iron 4" down pipe with the right gear.

I have found that if you flush the toilet and empty the cassette into the turbulent water, there are virtually no splashes.

Brian

I do that sometimes when I feel a noisy and or cold splash might occur... but that's without the cassette..

I've got this vision now of someone practicing emptying the cassette saying to themselves "Oh sh*t try again".

I got a vision of someone standing on a chair lifting up a cassette in front of a pillar box....

When I lived in North London many many decades ago a couple of pals lived at the top of then newly built high rise flats. Some residents, or maybe opportunist passers-by saw the lift door as a "large sewage acceptance portal" In those days I could just about manage 18 flights of stairs to avoid it. I hope that CCTV has put a stop to that...

Colette, I rub "Vick" around exit neck of cassette, elevates blockage. :rolleyes2:

i have spent a while trying to figure out the meaning of this - predictive text ? or maybe its just tooo deep for my literal brain ?:confused::confused:

Just wanted to say thanks for all the comments and support :-)
