I guess the reason any campsite or business disguised as a not for profit organisation charges some of these outlandish prices is because they have captive victims to exploit.
My personal hate is those that charge per person!
We have relative freedom of choice in a motor caravan but those poor sods tugging Tupperware boxes along behind their cars are probably their primary targets as they have to use campsites most of the time and often book for many days at a time.
The most I’ve paid is £25 to park on a bit of gravel overnight near Tenby and even then I had made a mistake I miss read the prices and thought it was £15. The site only had one other van there and other than some power lines we had a good view though
I can’t stand paying good money to look at other vans!
