Hi all ,
As a relative new motorhomer and a non campsite user I find your ,can I say Our, site invaluable .
I have a very busy working life and spend a lot of the time on this bl**dy PC so try to spend as little of my spare time on it as I can. I tend to come onto the site find what I am looking for and then use it,so I am afraid I take a lot from the site and at the moment put very little back.
I am very appreciative of all the information I find here.
You have helped me get to Southern Portugal and back and twice to the French Alps,plus countless weekends over here.
I am sure there are others like me who appreciate what you are doing too
Please keep up all the good work and I promise to make an input when I finally retire.

Personally I like the site better without the adverts but if it need adverts to help pay for itself then that ok with me.
 
OK...

I have made adverts a choice based thing for full members. Below each advert there is a link to your user control panel (usercp) where there is now an option to disable the adverts. Just say no :)

The default is Yes so you will need to go and change it if you want to get rid of them.
 
Membership

I would love to be come a full member.I am however like a good many more peopl.New to computers and totaly mistrusting of this electronic money.So why dont you put up an adress where foggies like me can pay by CHEQUE If you had done i would joined months ago.So how about it.

Yes you can pay by Cheque but it is REALLY important that you write your username on the back of the cheque!

about half the cheques I got last year had no username and as I dont know peoples names and addresses I was unable to cash them or give them membership until the contacted me to find out what was going on.

I will add my address back to the payment page tomorrow.

Yeah, any chance of a site just about wildcamping, it seems we wonder off sometimes on irrelevant subjects...just a thought.

Thats the best thing about this site, digressing onto other subjects, there is a section for wildcamping meets and gatherings surely that's adequate

Thanks for making all fora available to all.

I would also like to to suggest that overnights is made available to all. I may be able to offer such a facility but I do not intent to become a full member until I have convinced the touble and strife that wild camping is safe and I am able to benefit more from the site. I hope this makes sense.

I could say let only full member have a say on this part of the site, but i wont....
most other sites wont let you read most of the forums, let alone leave a comment on them. until you have paid.

Suspend full members for a short time when they become a nuisance or aggressive.

A permanent ban would never arise (unless they bought a caravan):dance: :scared:

Hi phil I think if the site done more on wild caming in Ireland
it wd be a good job because I have loads off friends that
never go aboard and wd love to find out all the good stops
in Ireland and there is loads of them .thanks mac

By now you will know my views on free speech, Phil. It may be inconvenient and it may be annoying but its best to know where the idiots are and to know what they are thinking. I would therefore suggest that this site could be improved by never deleting anything and never banning anyone. If we cannot defeat pillocks by reasoned argument then it is time to give up.

Having said that, I am aware that there are limits to free speech. If it doesn't keep within the law then you, as site owner, can be liable to prosecution. But I suggest that few of the previously deleted threads or banned members have breached the law. On the plus side, since the demise of Cassandra, there have been fewer such problems. Keep going in the right direction.
