Replacing Dometic RM4233 absorption fridge

Replaced my rm4233 the other month with an indel b cruise 85 as like you mine fits over the wheel arch and this was the only one i could find that fitted. I had to make a shelf for it to sit on and then made a small cupboard under the fridge where the wheel arch is also needed about 10mm strip of wood down the side as the rm4233 is a few mm wider. Just back from 3 weeks portugal and spain and the fridge was a game changer so much more room and big deep ice box.

Thanks for this information. I think I will be following your example. It looks like an excellent solution.

don't forget suitable DC cabling sized to cope with the inrush current of a compressor fridge.
Should be pretty simple to run in your Motorhome - run under the chassis from the external battery compartment along to the gas dropout vent in the fridge enclosure and bring it inside through that :)

Thanks David.

However this installation will be in another motorhome, one which you'll be seeing in early November...
