Supposed to be collecting our van from storage ready for MOT tomorrow and France on Saturday.Phone call fro m the storage people to say they have lost the keys.Cant locate the spare. How easy is it to get a spare for a Fiat Ducato ?

Serious bad news, because a key cut( if you have the number) other than getting in the van is useless. It needs coding to the ECU to start the engine, Purple key is required to do that with all other keys.

Replacement of ecu and all keys is the solution and expect to draw breath.

That was the situation when I worked for Fiat, possible some e bay scam found a way round it etc ...but the answer you will get from Fiat.

NB DO not use the Purple key as a regular key if you do find it , they are known to lose communication with the ECU then you do have problems

That shouldn't be your problem get the storage owners, who lost the key,to sort it out>? Why only one key, where is your spare key?

Hidden on the van ? Fiat should have the key info You need to check red key I think thats been stopped for several years now.

I had a 2002 fiat van and for several years before that they supplied a red master key I don,t know when it was dicontinued. There is a firm nr me that can supply a new key but need the van in their workshop to read and program it

I've been trying to get a second key for my 2003 Citroen Relay and can only get one from the dealer at a cost of Nearly £200. Plus, they need log book and van at the workshop. I must do it one day!

think key was discontinued 1999

As you have lost both keys then I guess a auto locksmith is the way to go, if you had one key and needed a second then Timpsons did one for our x250.
