Redex petrol and diesel.

£2 a bottle at Tesco if you have a club card.

I know some say it is a waste of money but I am 100% certain our petrol car runs smoother on it. Can't say for certain about the MH but a quid's worth of Redex every full tank of diesel, I'll just carry on adding it.
A mechanic told me years ago to put a pint of diesel in a full tank of petrol said it was better than redex have done it in the past with no problems

Thanks for that Ral. Just picked up three bottles at the club card price on the way home with the van.

Cheers

I buy it from Screwfix for £6.99 for 500ml. I add abit to the petrol in my scooter. Why? you might ask. Well, I hardly use it - only did around 50 miles last year and as a result the old petrol clogs the small jet in the carb if it is left for around 3 weeks without being run. I got fed up with taking it apart to clean it. That's when I looked for a solution to the problem of petrol going stale. I found out that Redex is used to keep lawnmowers clog free during the winter months so I tried it in my scooter and it does work. I just make a guess at how much to use. I thought I had better put some in the car as well seeing as I hadn't been using it much since being forced to stay at home, I don't know if it is necessary as the pressure in the injectors would probably keep them clear. I have not noticed any difference in the running of either. I never had stale petrol problems in my Lambretta's and other bikes from my collection in the late 60's.

Its ethanol in fuel which bu--ers carbs up, every spring my w shop is full of outboard engine which were left with fuel in them.

I have never been able to get my head around how just 250ml of "stuff" diluted into 120 litres fuel can make any difference.....it's almost like homeopathy where less is said to work better.
These videos are interesting.
