Portable wifi speaker?

Depends entirely how sub £100 you want to go?
Nothing wrong at all with Soundcore 2/3's, but Both JBL and Soundcore have products closer to £100 that do have both better quality sound, and more importantly, louder!
Minirig do great quality speakers, but not so sure about sub £100

No the mini rigs are more than the £100. I only mentioned them because I tried a few different ones before coming across them. Shane was at a family do in a pub not so long back when the do's speakers/amp packed up, he nipped home and got his 2 x mini rig 2 and subwoofer and the party continued into the night. Bit more capability than listening to an odd song in the van but...

I use the Elan+ in the van and its great, especially with the wifi radio.

I also carry the XBoom just about everywhere, very good for the money and you can link 2 easily.

Hmm. I quite like the idea of the DAB radio, not just the speaker, as I'm a big radio listener

I use my phone and listen to the radio through the anker speaker when abroad so that I can listen to uk stations,
When in the uk I just use a cheap dab radio

Bose Sundlink Mini. Does what Bose are good at, getting a great sound out of a small box. A bit over your budget so how about a used one? we have that at home.

We have a Sonos Roam in the MH, it came with it, Not bad but not as good as the Bose.

You need a hearing test first to find out what frequencies you can actually hear, then you’ll know whether it’s worth spending money on something of good quality.

I love my Laney, I wouldn't recommend because I'm pretty sure there are better speakers for the money.
But it's perfect for my Sabbath shelf.

I fancy a new portable speaker for Christmas or my birthday. Sub £100 if there are any worth buying within that budget... ?
Hoping I can persuade Neil to disturb the moths in his Fort Knox wallet, otherwise I'll probably have to buy one myself!

I have a cheap Betron I bought from our local Argos Clearance store several years ago, think I paid about £15 or therabouts?
(Our Argos Clearance store closed down a few weeks ago, but to be fair it's been gradually going downhill ever since the pandemic )

The Betron has been OK-ish, but the volume isn't the greatest and lately it has started dropping out and shutting down for no apparent reason, so I'm guessing is on its way out.

I have been researching for all of 10 minutes and it seems like there are a few brands out there and the reviews are extremely mixed.....

I use the Tronsmart brand. Brain crushing bass on that bugger for sure - and it's waterproof so the odd bit of rain won't matter. You
can even drop it in a pool if you're so inclined.
