Painting Plastic

I think most of us have a certain amount of pride in our vans, and that is a good thing in my opinion. The depredations of mine are getting away from me a little now but I still try and get upset when something goes wrong like the time, recently 3 point turning, I did not see the bank behind me, in the dark it looked like road surface in the camera. I have yet to reattach the piece that was broken off the skirt but I will do it soon

I painted all the grey plastic bits matt black. Looked good and surprisingly never peeled or wore off. Just a wee rub with a scotchbrite pad and a few coats of rattle can matt black👌

Great job but have you considered respraying them gold and then do all the rest to match?
There's nothing like a bit of 🌟 bling, should I run this idea passed Christine 🤔.

Yes Harry, we have had a few minor skirmishes with xyz. (Over 12 years)
I have always had them repaired.
As you may have seen earlier this year we refurbished our wheels and paint below the cab doos with hammerite silver and white.
Not perfect but 99% (well 95)

Zinsser Allcoat Exterior Satin Anthracite Grey RAL7016 (1L) https://amzn.eu/d/bQL9IVX

This paint is fantastic. Comes in various colours (not chrome though). It's self priming with 2 coats. Can be applied with brush, roller or spray. Covers and stays on plastic, wood, metal, masonry, concrete. I've used it for all our plastic guttering, and brackets etc. Even used it on Sky satellite dish and various other items. I used the anthracite colour, brushed it on and ran a small roller over it which gave it a lovely finish. It has made it all look as if it's metal not plastic. Best paint I have ever used. Many people have used it to transform their pvc windows.
