Motorhome jammed on bend blocks Swiss traffic for hours - SWI swissinfo.ch https://share.google/mmahTgQC7fOOoYn0v
Definitely, Damp road sharp turn and weight moving off the front axle. I've had similar as had to stop due to oncoming traffic, roll back and took it again, looks like he's not able to run back where he is.Loss of traction I'd say, poor differential working overtime.
Surprised it's the steepest, looks a nice road though.![]()

It’s Switzerland, no maybe about it.Vehicles over 3.5 tons not allowed . Hefty fine possibly ?

I was speaking to French motorhomers years ago about road signs stating that vehicles over 3.5 tons not allowed because I had just uprated my van to 3.7T, they told me to ignore them because it didn't apply to motorhomes. And deservedly!
Exactly, at 7.5m I wouldn't want to do that pass, but prior to up-plating mine was 3.5t. Bet @barryd would have a go.A length restriction would make more sense on that road. You can get 6m long vans with a 5 tonne GVW which would have no problem on that road and 7m vans at 3500 GVW who would have the same issue as that van, depending on driver obviously.
Looks like the only tight corner on the road, and the recovery truck would have had to reverse round a few hairpins.
There's a bend a mile from.here that is a little more difficult than that one: both tighter and steeper.Motorhome jammed on bend blocks Swiss traffic for hours - SWI swissinfo.ch https://share.google/mmahTgQC7fOOoYn0v
