New Inverter has stopped the R/C of TV 🤔

Inverter outputs need filtering to remove what's known as switching artefacts from the output waveform. It would appear that the Renogy inverters aren't particularly well filtered?
Julian, the filter you used is really aimed at removing very high frequency interference including radio and although it almost worked you could have used a better design.
Something like a power inductor in series with one leg
closely followed by a mains rated capacitor directly across the output.
This would form a simple Low pass filter and attenuate much of the switching noise and would fit into your box. 👍

Although in the management team for the FB group I am not a great Renogy fan i just happened to be electrically competent and built my first van using their kit, I am surprised I haven’t been booted out because I am pretty scathing of their appalling uk support processes and the sometimes diabolical but often incorrect manuals, however the Renogy employed admins in the group are proactive and I work on the assumption if I point out issues often enough it does filter up the food chain slowly.

For example the uk installation instructions for their new HF inverter is not bs7671 compliant and has clearly not been proof read by a uk certified electrician they even use the term bare wires which a incompetent diyer could get horribly wrong! That has now been escalated to the correct product mangler…..

I have had two awful experiences with raising Renogy support cases for faulty hardware so If they are ever going to match the service I have personally have received from Victron they have a very long way to go!

Perversely they seem to think the fact the Victron FB group has over 300,000 users versus their 10,000 reflects the amount of problems Victron users have, personally I think that is very blinkered!

As for this problem inverter @YeoBlade it’s very unusual for genuine fault posts to be removed

However my gut feeling is your issue is not a model specific issue, yours is probably faulty and you should persevere with the horrid drawn out humiliating support processes to get a replacement.

Part of the reason it is so drawn out is there isn’t anyway to return faulty goods so they always send out a replacement
And yes some people milk that route to get free stuff so delays and frustration might part of the Renogy defence tactics to prevent that!

It’s just a plain bad way of doing customer service but get that support case raised and just keep on at them!

The only thing easier than good customer service to provide is bad customer service ... And that should include designing quality in, rather than using your customers to provide free research on the faults that need weeded out ...
It also costs more to recruit a new customer than it does to keep an existing, brand loyal customer happy by meeting his/her needs promptly
