Machete or gardening shears?

Didn't the OP say it was stuff blocking the entrance to a Carpark?. I would take issue if it was a pull in or space they just wanted to use. Probably best not to let anyone see you doing it, even iff it is a carpark entrance. Remember, that overgrown Carpark could be someone's idea of rustic beauty though.

Didn't stop me many moons ago down in Derbyshire taking my trusty gardening tools and sorting out a council planted garden bed around one of their car parks that they'd disgracefully neglected. The thistles were starting to scratch the paintwork on vehicles pulling in and out. I did it in full view of my local pub. In fact the regulars kept bringing me drinks out while I was doing it, and no, I wasn't drunk! (y)😁

It's called doing a little voluntary Civic Duty when state resources are stretched - or if their employees are just plain lazy. Some of the labouring council jobsworths often were back then. Some of them still are! Unfortunately they will most likely be the ones who retain their jobs throughout and probably long after this pandemic... {sigh} ;) :)
