Just why would anybody?

They should set up infared night cams to get no/plates,then dump all the crap on there door step along with a fine.
And, then confiscate their vehicles so they can never do it again. Just as a warning to other 'fly tippers'!:giggle:

Pulled into a lovely wild spot right beside Loch Lomond to find this mess!

Looks like camping rubbish including nappies, maybe a weeks worth from a group? The thing is that just a short distance down the road either way are villages with rubbish bins!
We moved along and found another much less stinky spot! I wonder what other dissapointments we will discover on our Scotland trip?
Have you found the trashed caravan yet? Look above the rubbish THATS what you came for. Remember the rubbish was more than likely left by visitors not locals!

We used to stay overnight at a lovely secluded layby in the same area. One morning took the dog to walk along the Loch, had to turn back due to broken beer/wine bottles and piles of disgarded 2 man tents and other rubbish. Shortly after that the local authorities stopped stay overs in the area. Sad.

This is absolutely disgusting. It tars us all with the same brush. What's the point of enjoying a beautiful spot and not leaving it nice for other people? It makes my blood boil. So selfish.

Seems like it's becoming a common event, not only for us campervanners but in local areas. We live down the Conwy Valley and the number of times we've seen KFC etc bags thrown out of vehicles onto grass verges. Once upon a time we saw on TV "Keep Britain Tidy" and it was taught in schools, should be a part of the curriculum.

This is what happens when a possible stop is located near Glasgow I’m afraid. Seen it on the banks of Loch Earn too. Three cars, two caravans and about 15 people including loads of kids. Place was like a council tip! Kids going crazy...loud music, beer cans everywhere. Disgusting really. My 83 year old father was on the beach cleaning up waste (last year) whilst young folks just watched him. We stayed on Loch Maree week before last and spoke to someone from NatureScot who run the forestry car parks (didn’t know that). He said that problem is less of an issue the further you get from Glasgow. No need for this at all! Should be fined massively for dumping waste. Incidentally, you can be fined for putting household waste in a public litter in. Campervan waste is deemed household waste. Crazy I know.
