ITV 1 HD Missing off freesat?

What was the one you sent me then? I liked that one. Pity I let it go. Anyway, it doesnt matter. It works, thats the main thing. Its hardly got used on this trip (Thank God) :D
It was a Humax HB-1000s Freesat box(y)
Freesat boxes cost more than ordinary satellite boxes, if channel numbering isn't important to you then you don't need to pay the extra, I use a twin tuner Linux Enigma2 box as well as a Freesat in the van, I use that to pick up other satellites if I can't get Astra 28.2E, too complicated though unless you have too much time on your hands like me🤣🤣

Still kicking myself over letting that one go. The joys of selling your van in 24 hours I guess. At least the old fella that bought it is now getting some use out of it. It was a cracking system the old Camos with that box. Way better than the massive sail I now have on the roof which this time of year high up staring at the Atlantic is best kept down!

I see all the channels are messed up yet again. An hour and a half just to try and locate Channel 4 and the ITV's etc. There must be a better free sat box or way of doing this surely. Grrrrrrrrr! :(

Genuine Freesat boxes automatically organise the channels after updating, you would probably be better off getting one, cost more but worth it

That is indeed what I intend to buy. All we need is a set of favourites and none of the 1200 useless rubbish channels most of which dont work anyway. You can get that with this one but as discussed its a nightmare every time it changes. Any recommendations appreciated.

It depends on how much you want to spend, the one that I gave you was my favourite until the HDMI port stopped working, there is a newer version of that, Humax HDR-1100S 500GB Freesat, you can find them on eBay or buy from CEX who sell second hand ones with a warranty
You can find others for sale at CEMX but make sure they are 12v

Don't think I need a recorder really just a better box. The lower the power usage the better also. Maybe ill just stick with this one and periodically whinge about it. :D

You may not need a recorder but it's handy to have as part of the package in case you would like to watch something on at the same time on a different channel.

Oh Christ no!!!!! Its bad enough having to endure live TV at the best of times without give her "options". :ROFLMAO: I reckon something with a hard drive will be much more power hungry as well.

You can get the same box without a hard drive, It also has apps for streaming, they also have the same box that I gave you for £35

I googled the power consumption of that one and its only 13w. I think the one we have can be up to 35w and it does get hot. Ill maybe get one of them although there are loads on there to choose from. I guess I would need a 12v cable but ill probably have one. Cheers.

I cut the cable that comes with the box and put a cigarette lighter plug on it, I only used it in the van so it saved buying a cable

You worry too much about Barry. Just remember this ..... Jellyfish have existed for 650 million years without having a brain. So Barry will probably get by. :giggle:

Right thats it! You leave me with no choice. I know where you live and this is going to hurt.
