Ireland visit - yay!

Put any rubish in small bags and put in garage bins when refueling, most important is do have a good time and relax, life is a trip not a target.

How old are you, Trev? {blinkin' whippersnapper! 🙄} 🤣

Have you never heard the saying about grannies and eggs? 😉🤗

Tips on rubbish disposal is good though - ty, I'm aware that disposal of rubbish in Ireland isn't as easy as over here 🤔👍🙏

It can't be as bad as southern Germany where they have the proper Eco Mafia. I once spent half an hour riding around on the scooter trying to get rid of a rotten chicken in Bavaria. No bins, nowhere and if you do find anywhere to dispose of rubbish you can go to jail for ten years if you get the wrong bin (probably). In the end I found a quiet mountain road and flung it over the edge of a massive cliff into a forest below. I expected SWAT teams in choppers to descend and take me out and had a bit of a sweat on to be honest. Ive never been back since. Hopefully the heat might have died down a bit now, it was 8 years ago.

Well... go get yourself over there, lass! (y)😁

Taking my concertina over there with me this time, I couldn't last time as no room on the bike.
It'll ward off arthritis in the old hands and fingers 🤞 ;)
We are, we are! But not til later in the summer. Can't wait!
I'm sure your concertina will be welcome in many a session.
Presumably you'll be posting when you're over there and we'll let you know if we know of any nearby sessions.

Where's a good place to buy Euros and would you get then in the UK before setting off, or wait until you're over in Ireland?

You can tell it's a few decades since I went abroad!!!:rolleyes:😂

No problem within Ulster.

Have you got debit card that's usable out of the UK? Will it allow you to take cash from an ATM, in the Republic?
Check with your provider. .
Get one if you can .
Some of the new Fringe banks are useful .
Have a look at wise.com.
@trevskoda will know, but he said he's having a day off, he says.l
Don't drink too much ..

I always find Ramsdens give a good rate Marie.
Also check with your credit card company for any possible costs when using it in Ireland.
And when using your card always pay in the local currency, your card company will always give you a better rate.

I haven't used a credit card for well over over 40 years, Bill :)

Debit card (with the same current account held nearly 50 years! ), cash or PayPal only ... 🤷‍♀️

My credit score fell this week because 'you're not using your credit card and lenders have no way of knowing how much credit you can service ...'

'Dear Sirs, there are no defaults/missed payments against me, because I ensure that I have cleared funds available before the Direct Debit 'clear any outstanding sum' mandate is due for any occasional purchases I might make with my credit card. My current bill is a touch over 0.01% of my credit limit, and will be repaid in 8 days time. It's up to you to decide whether you can trust me to handle credit responsibly ...'
