Both are valid and the problem occurs when people use terminology without explaining it, or when people assume that their definition is the only valid one.
Autosleepers for one. All my Autosleepers had waste drains running uphill. Luckily I didn't need to use the wagon in the freezing winter. Not only the waste tank drain, but on Nuevos (or at least on mine) the water from the kitchen sink runs uphill - or doesn't run uphill if you live anywhere on the surface of the Earth. The sink waste on the rear kitchen versions runs across towards the cooker, up and over the vertical panel separating the cooker from the cupboards. Then owners wonder why the sink drains slowly. Not only that but they don't glue the plastic pipes together at the joints, so they drip gungy water all over the food you have stored in the cupboard underneath.
