Immobiliser Blues

What a really nice thought. Hope you took some flowers home with you ...

hi

Just had my van MOT'd and serviced, and the garage inform me that it will now not start. I have had a couple of problems with the immobiliser before in that the 'Lock' light stays illuminated and the ignition switch will not work, I usually get around this by pressing the fob button a few times and it eventually works. But this time, the ignition is turning the engine but the immobiliser is not letting fuel through.

I have given them all the keys I have, but none of them seem to deactivate it. Anybody had any similar problems?

It is a 1997 Fiat Ducato 2.5D. (Compass Drifter Merit 310).

Evening Rob,

Possibly a daft question but how old is your key fob battery ? Or is it the non-battery type ?

I've had strange experiences of old fob batteries - sometimes just eneough to open the vehicle but insufficient signal to disarm the security system. Just a thought.

Cheers, Michael
