Try Belleek somtimes height barriersIf you get anywhere near the Shannon-Erne waterway Melissa, there are some lovely spots along the way which look good for overnighting. (It is some years since I've been there though).
You may even spot an Otter or two.
You should have got a bit surplus muff and used it 2 minutes into the videoTheres several videos with stopping places by this couple
personally I hate seeing folks walking around with "half a face" wearing their masksThat's the problem with masks, you can't read the facial expressions.
It may save a life, glasses are the best as droplets wont land on the eyes which is a point of entry along with hands touching the mouth, you may hang on a year or two as its not for leaving soon.personally I hate seeing folks walking around with "half a face" wearing their masks
Seriously thinking of postponing our trip to France and Spain late August for the very reason that everyone on the ferry is required to wear one of these "muzzles"
Somewhat confused, I contacted the Irish authorities and they still have a fourteen day quarantine in place for anyone entering or returning to Ireland. We are waiting to go and see daughter and grandchildren over there but are you saying you enter NI and then drive south with no quarantine period? That seems a little odd to say the least. Surely a UK registered camper van will stick out like a sore thumb? They have been very strict on lockdown according to my daughter with the Guarda enforcing it fairly tightly. Has it changed recently?
That is correct, the advice from the UK is no quarantine required returning from either Northern Ireland or Ireland. If you go to the Irish Government site then anyone arriving in or returning to Ireland is required to fill in a form and self isolate for fourteen days. It’s not entirely clear. The FCO advice changed on 4th July, but it only mentions returning to Ireland from N.Ireland as an exemption from the quarantine requirement.

Don't know about covid restrictions but lots of lovely free stops on most of the Waterways Ireland rivers/canals. They often have toilets and showers and you can buy a card for about a fiver to use the shower and clothes washing facilities. If you get anywhere near the Shannon-Erne waterway Melissa, there are some lovely spots along the way which look good for overnighting. "
Arriving to Ireland from another country
By law, if you arrive in Ireland from any other country you will need to fill in a form called the Covid-19 Passenger Locator Form.
You'll also be asked to self-isolate for 14 days."
This is the current advice as of 1700 Sunday copied from the Irish Health Authority site. Now it may well be that cross border travel is allowed for obvious reasons but I am really unsure of the legal implications within Ireland and also for travel insurance etc. It is all very vague and I will wait until the Irish advice goes quarantine free.
Ask the folk on motorhomecraic, it's free and they will know...I read a news report from the independent which said
“Unlike the UK, very early on in the Covid-19 crisis the republic set out a detailed road map explaining that tourism was expected to resume on 20 July, with the offshore islands opening only on 10 August. But the government in Dublin now says that hotels and restaurants in Ireland can open sooner than previously planned, on 29 June. Therefore tourists can explore the whole mainland of the island of Ireland from that date.”
If I encounter any issues it’s no problem- I will just stay in Northern Ireland.
Lots terryHmmmmmmmm, no mention of how many biscuits were consumed??![]()
A pint glass bottom has a magnifying effect Rob, so she might not be able to see the Mull. We'll not the way you did.I went to a wedding at Ballygally a few years back, the locals were really lovely people.
On a clear day you can see the Mull of Kintyre from there.
