So, I went for it. We took the ferry this morning from Liverpool to Belfast - slightly unsure, but needn’t have worried. No problem on ferry apart from having to wear face masks in public areas. It was very easy to just forget that we are emerging from a very strange period of time. The overwhelming feeling was ‘business as usual’ Didn’t notice any funny looks, just the odd smile and wave - all very typical.

People in ireland aren’t wearing face masks as a matter of course and it looks very much like It does back home - but with pubs open ! :)

Weather rubbish - but parked up for the night with a potential fabulous view if the clouds sod off!. Will update if anything untoward happens.

Hello Ireland ! :)

Thanks very much for letting me know of this - will avoid Sligo - we will mainly be hanging out at beaches ( unless rammed) and nature reserves with the odd Aldi stop ;)

Takes to long to do though nice, antrim donegal is best if only a few weeks, there are or were good places to go though some may be closed due to cov19.
There are lots of hidy places to sleep in van up the antrim coast if you are in the know wink wink.

Trev, will he have to pull his trouser up to his knee( and that's not a song) or maybe you want to keep it a secret

What bits and where have you not seen, give us a clue, and where are you hiding now ,make sure you are safe. (y)

Last year we went all the way round coast from Dublin clockwise. The bits we missed last year were this eastern side of Northern Ireland. As well as missing out a couple of the peninsulas last year on that west coast . :)

just awoke - very blowy night! Lol

I would love to meet up with Trev - we are on the move though and I’m not sure if we are leavinv him behind us / we now at Ballygally heading north :)

kids no worries I have my 9 year old with me :) - and lots of biscuits

I went to a wedding at Ballygally a few years back, the locals were really lovely people.

On a clear day you can see the Mull of Kintyre from there.

The word bally means place of in irish,as does cairn as in a grave before a town or place name.
