Two years ago the social club in the centre of the housing estate where I first lived, and where I continued to socialise, kept being ' raided' by the boys in blue. Many allegations of anti social behaviour, money lending , drug dealing etc. Now don't get me wrong this did go on, but no more than any other pub in any other neighbourhood . To be fair this and many other traits, are part and parcel of modern day society, in modern day deprived areas. The club however was the hub of the community. Three and four generations of families using the club for many reasons, not just as a pub, coffee mornings, live acts, horse racing trips, etc etc.

The steward (my pal) was then arrested in a dawn raid at home, in front of his family on false trumped up charges. Of course it never reached the courts, but the damage was done, and the club closed down and the community smashed to pieces . Most members then had to relocate to different venues on the edge of the " reservation ". The older generation however were mainly confined to their homes, as change and mobility became major factors.

My point....... The local school nearby long since closed down but currently being used as a library, housing office and believe it or not a money lending facility !! was then relocated to the club. And the large sprawling school grounds sold off to Wimpy for private housing. One big scam, that was started by local councillors dreaming up ways with the police backing them to shut our pub down . We didn't even see it coming and many a member were considered streetwise within it. Huttoft beach caravan park ? Sounds like déjà vu to me :mad2:

The cost of the height barriers and byelaws is now an estimated £100,000.

Over the last two weeks a JCB has been working on Huttoft Car Terrace. Yet the barriers are currently demolished by persons unknown (some believe sanctioned by Lincolnshire County Council). These actions have resulted in the wanton destruction of the £34,000 illegal height barrier project and the removal of over £4,000 of litter bins.
There are only two options:
Lincolnshire County Council gave permission for the wanton destruction or
Persons, as yet to be identified, have caused criminal damage of almost £10,000.


1.LCC after 2 weeks are still to deny or confirm whether they requested the wanton destruction of the barriers at Huttoft Car Terrace – After such a long time I think we can all draw the same conclusion.

2.Huttoft Bank is a noted dogging location. As sex in a public place is a criminal offence why have the Police not closed this activity down?

3.Why have LCC spent £100K to prevent high sided vehicles parking overnight at Huttoft Car Terrace? Have they done this to create a Perverts Paradise? It has been reported elsewhere Each night an average of 10 vehicles appear with interior lights going on and off (a known sign for doggers)

Councillor Steve Palmer should be giving a public apology for accusing “Freeloaders” when it now appears beyond responsible doubt that LCC are themselves the “handful of selfish people” who caused the damage.

Sandilands Golf Club has been purchased by Mr Fletcher who, intends to continue to run it as a golf course.

So they have spent £100 000 deciding we are a plus rather than a minus. Shame they did not just pop down and have a nice cup of tea and a chat with the people down there in the first place.

If they had given the full timers a couple of shovels and asked them to clear the sand now and again by way of rent, I am sure they would have kept it clear as well. Wonder how much that would have saved.

Don't know why they don't install a pay and display meter, £2 to park all day, i'm sure many of the vans would gladly pay, i would for sure, i'd even pay £5 per night to stay there, its a lovely spot.

I can't understand why people think that a council would 'sanction' wanton criminal damage to the height barriers at Huttoft. Especially when they have a by-law in place to assist them in enforcing the 'no overnight parking'. They must have an ulterior motive and with the removal of the litter bins no doubt people will play into there hands.

The long running dispute between motor- home owners and Lincolnshire County Council is stepping up a gear, as new bye-laws are introduced this week.

Coming into force on October 24, the laws will make it illegal to leave a motor vehicle in specific coastal car parks between the hours of 10pm and 6am.

The six sites are Anderby Creek, Wolla Bank, Marsh Yard, Moggs Eye, Huttoft Car Terrace and Chapel Six Marsh.

The bye-laws will also make it against the law to use a tent in undesignated areas.

Anyone caught breaking these restrictions will be subject to a maximum fine of £500.

Height restriction barriers, costing £1,200 each, have been erected by LCC in an attempt to stop motorhome users from staying overnight in the car parks.

However, in the last few months, the barrier at Moggs Eye has been forcibly removed twice, while the barrier at Huttoft Car Terrace is currently being repaired following a similar act of vandalism.

The debate surrounding overnight parking in coastal car parks has split opinion among East Lindsey Target readers.

Some say motorhomes are tourists providing a vital contribution to the local economy, while others, whose main points of contention are increased noise levels and littering, have supported the council's tough stance.

Councillor Colin Davie, executive member for the environment at Lincolnshire County Council, said: "We are pleased that the secretary of state has signed the new by laws.

"They will give us the powers necessary to police the car parks and that will be good for the local community.

"If people park illegally they will be prosecuted."

I understand last week Andy **********s was there campaining with several motorhomers and the new owners of the golf club no longer wants motorhomers moved on.

I am guessing that the usual low life's would empty it but I have seen some that work off a credit or debit card. They look an expensive bit of kit to install but if you have twenty vans at a fiver a night? Can,t see it being two long before it starts making a profit. Still a lot cheaper than a site.

Well at least the water is safe, safer than skegness anyway,

Out of nine Lincolnshire beaches, which reached the recommended levels, including: Ingoldmells South; Chapel St Leonards; Anderby; Moggs Eye; Sutton-on-Sea; Mablethorpe Town; Humberston Fitties and Cleethorpes, Skegness was the only beach that failed to reach the recommended category, or even the guideline standard for water quality.

Instead, Skegness beach fell into the ‘mandatory’ category which meant it only reached the minimum water quality requirement, recommended for bathing.

Yes just keep well away,I have just spent 2 nights in fleetwood spent about 70 quid in the town and was made to feel welcomed by the locals,so I know were I am going to spend my well earned pennys :goodnight:

They like fresh meat there, male or female. Used to be fresh fish but times change, well done they will apreciate pennies as well
