I've been led to believe one is better than the other and sorry I can't remember which.
Nothing to do with effectiveness but more to do with disposable.
One can harm the process in a septic tank.
Anyone?
You would expect Bio to be good for septic tanks because after all it's 'Biological' right? Nope! You can use either but in moderation because both ruin the naturally occurring bacteria which septic tanks and water treatment tanks rely on. The 'biological' bit in wash detergents aren't natural, they are man made enzymes made to break up grease and clean and not for eating poo like the powerful natural bacteria that develops in a well kept septic tank.
If a tank manufacturer recommends one or the other it's almost certainly non bio but both are bad for septic tanks.
