So do you sheite on the sheets or put the sheets on the sheite ?Dr Beckman bio laundry sheets. Far lighter and easier to store. Seems as good as anything else.
I've been led to believe one is better than the other and sorry I can't remember which.
Nothing to do with effectiveness but more to do with disposable.
One can harm the process in a septic tank.
Anyone?
You would expect Bio to be good for septic tanks because after all it's 'Biological' right? Nope! You can use either but in moderation because both ruin the naturally occurring bacteria which septic tanks and water treatment tanks rely on. The 'biological' bit in wash detergents aren't natural, they are man made enzymes made to break up grease and clean and not for eating poo like the powerful natural bacteria that develops in a well kept septic tank.I don't think there's a lot in it these days Tim. Anti Bacterial is a big no no though.
Opinions seem to be changing regarding Bio and none Bio, but there is still a lot of disagreement online.

Our French hovel had its own septic tank, and we were aware of the risk of what were described by a villager as the 'cacka-munchers' dying off during the 3-6 months that the property was left unoccupird; the villager's advice was too purchase a tub of bio yoghurt, or wait for milk and/or non bio yoghurt to turn sour, and pour the contents down the pan - revived the munchers quickly and we had no problems in 13 years of ownershipYou would expect Bio to be good for septic tanks because after all it's 'Biological' right? If a tank manufacturer recommends one or the other it's almost certainly non bio but both are bad for septic tanks.
Where all yoghurt should goOur French hovel had its own septic tank, and we were aware of the risk of what were described by a villager as the 'cacka-munchers' dying off during the 3-6 months that the property was left unoccupird; the villager's advice was too purchase a tub of bio yoghurt, or wait for milk and/or non bio yoghurt to turn sour, and pour the contents down the pan - revived the munchers quickly and we had no problems in 13 years of ownership

Only post processing, aka a camping stool [to keep the M/HHome theme]Where all yoghurt should go
Or fit a SOG, we've had the misfortune of being downwind of them a few timesNada, nowt, zero, I love waking up to the smell of festering effluent, keep the cassette trap open, keep the bathroom door open, open a window and you will have the widest pitch on whatever you are parked on.
Ahh, so it was you!Nada, nowt, zero, I love waking up to the smell of festering effluent, keep the cassette trap open, keep the bathroom door open, open a window and you will have the widest pitch on whatever you are parked on.
We used capsules and tablets for three months and it didn't improve at all. We only ever use green fluids, so it wouldn't have affected the way the washing stuff worked. We started using it just after a trip to France and we found we had to keep adding more as the days went by. But when it got hot, it was absolutely disgusting! We gave up halfway through out September trip to the South of France. We found we were putting two capsules or tablets in twice a day at least. It started to cost more than the green, proper fluid. Horses for courses. We were not doing washing, we were trying to break down effluent. Back on the green now and although it doesn't smell of roses, it is nowhere near as bad as using washing capsules/tablets.don’t give up on the sachets easily it takes a few uses to settle it down , the old elsan blue used to have formaldehyde in its make up and that killed any bio effect in the capsules modern blue doesn’t have that but a chemical equivalent after a few disposals you’ll be fine
I use the proper green stuff! Tried washing tablets but in heat? Absolutely rubbish. Had to keep dosing and t ended up costing more! But when something is posted by a popular forum member, it is like influencers, it gets taken up by those looking for a "god" to follow.
And then, they can't admit their mistake and keep peddling the myth. Carry on guys...
