I bet you dont really know who invented the inflatable tyre, and no it was not dunlop, it was local to me, i know the real truth on this mater.

I just sent an email to puncture safe uk get some clarification on product grade required & suitability for Motorway use. So will see what comes back.
They’ve got a fair website as well 👍

I used to use it in my sprinter when I was doing European courier work, it was fine up to 65 to 70 mph
But on the German autobahn I thought it would be rude not to try them out, once I got the van up to its max 105 mph it was like having really badly balanced wheels,
Which is why I stopped using it, the slime that is, not the Autobahn

Done it many times Rob, 2 tyre on my van are done with no bother, dont beleave every thing you read in the Sun. 😂

I don't read the Sun Trev and when I did I didn't believe much of what was written just like I don't on Motorhome forums. :) But the foam repair is a get you home job and tyres filled with it should not be used at over 50mph max. (some advise 30mph).

Luckily MOs sweet spot is around the 65mph mark, so you could have easily Lapped me matey 👍😊

(So who was it Trev ?, Spill the beans ! )
It was Cortney Junks g dad who wrapped a pigs bladder onto a wheel barrow, Mr dunlop knew him and was at the farm one day and spotted the barrow & copied it, I knew Corney well as he was a top bike racer and in my opinion better than dunlop.

Yes if flat it will inflate the tyre, but not to a high pressure, but still driveable, i have some in one front wheel for near on a year and its stopping leaking at the beed seal, i have a leaky rear so going to fill it soon, it is mainly for a roadside emergency but works ok in tyre long term.
I wouldn't be so childish as to highlight this . Just surprised no one else has

Could be dangerous advice to give Trev as the foam (not the gel sealant) is only designed for short term use at very low speeds, as I said before it's a 'get you home'.

There is quite a bit online about this.

Yeah, from my very limited research done into this, The Foam AND the Green slim stuff are amongst the ‘Low speed get you to a garage’ fix
I’ve only noticed that the
Puncture guard stuff says it’s for Road use & for Heavy stuff.
The website states HGVs, Motorhomes Minibuses ect

Just checked my can Paul and it turns out that it is sealant and not foam. (Baufix tyre sealant).

I noticed that it has an expiry date of 2027 so 10 years but I'll probably chuck it soon as the can is slightly rusty and look for something different.

My daughter has a few new fiats pugs and shitron vans I've taken all the gunk out them cause if we get punctures and the stuff you put in when punctured the tyre is not repairable so I'm getting steel spare wheels slowly for em all the new transits she has 6 off all have proper spares
