Fuel prices have been a racket for years, I have long thought that there should be price cap to avoid excess profiteering and to reduce pointless journeys with all the emmisions that entails, maybe with a small leeway for far flung locations
It can be utter madness at times people driving absurd distances to a cheaper station but in so doing burning more fuel and therefore money than they are saving!
The Texaco in Ellesmere has been the cheapest near me for a couple of years, people flock to it from miles around. It’s got a very low roof, vans occasionally clobber it or stop in time and have to reverse back, unless they know to go to the hgv pump around the back and the exit is blind and tight, the queuing can get entertaining especially when trying to get out in a large vehicle
But t saves a penny per litre!
