Is Kev gonna finally get up to Gavarnie then this year after Lourdes?
We are on the move! Currently in Brodick in the van on a hot chicken mission. Michelle persuaded the butcher to cook her one. We shall find out shortly if they have. What an exciting life we lead!
The chicken was a disappointment. Cold and out of the fridge. Now playing the find somewhere to park an 8.5m white brick in the coop car park and the ferry has just come in

Now driven the full length from north to south and parked up at an old favourite off the quiet shore road at Kildonan.
Couple of close encounters on the way down. You really need to take care on some of these roads. You can see the island of Pladda behind us and behind that Ailsa Craig.
I had to take the low road for Lizs sake but it did get hairy due to morons cutting blind corners on bike and other vehicles, worst was French twat in a bloody coach who was really way over on our side as we exited a rock tunnel he just shrugged and put his hazards on, I put mine on and got out to speak to him as he was too scared to move to his right despite having at least 10 feet at his roof height, I asked if he spoke English, he said non, a bloke stuck be him came and started making a fuss so I asked him too he said, non, so I told him to feck off as he was just not helping, he seemed to get the drift and went back to his car, meanwhile one of the coach passes who did speak quiet good English decided to get out and give me some verbal, I showed him the drop over the armco down into the george, and told him I was in no mood to.piss about so either shut up or go see there is no problem and tell the driver to move over so I could get past him or shut the feck up.
He looked, told the driver he was crap and the coach moved out of my way, we drive past, and ended up here.
Yeah I knew that about the stones. I think I googled it a while back and they are about £7k or summat daft for a fell set.
No sign of rain yet.
I may go swimming tomorrow. There is an easy sandy Beach at Kildonan and it's just over the road from where the van is. My theory is the sandy bottom will warm the water a bit but I bet it's still Baltic. At least I can jump back in the van to get warm.
wimps, Charlie went swimming in Luce Bay one year just cos we had 2 days sun. I was convinced he would go blue and die but the bugger survived just fine
1976 was a roaster if a summer, lasted for months, hosepipe ban in place, folks encouraged to share a bath etc.
I spoke with my pal yesterday, he reckons hosepipe ban will be put in place, it’s not surprising when I think about all the homes being built within the Lothians alone. All sucking water from the same reservoirs. A case of watch this space for a repeat of 1976?
Just been on the Scottish advising us to take short showers and avoid hosepipe use. Not a chance I’m doing that I’ve spent a tenner on grass seed I need to water.
We will see. Ill have to do it now to prove I'm well ard!
Went along to Chauchlands on the bike (Lamlash) which is Bill @Fisherman favourite spot to eat my lunch and it was crammed with five motorhomes. I'm not stopping there again unless it quietens down. Its too well known now.
The islands most expensive roadside burger. £11! Shite.
