Government ban sandwiches re-entering

Quite possibly Barry.

Well your welcome to try mine if we ever manage to meet up. Good FB group as well and they often come up for sale. Even the older gen ones go on for ever. You can pick them up for a couple of grand which is weekend in the pub for you!

That's the sort of thing I want Barry at that price I wouldn't be too precious about where I take it or how mucky it gets, and it could just sit behind the gates with a cover over it.

Get the one with mag wheels not the XT with the spokes like mine if you are leaving it outside. They dont look as nice but are not made of marzipan like the Suzuki spokes on the XT. :D

Is the same amount of in depth searching carried out on fridges LEAVING the UK? Asking for a friend. ;)
Our experience is that there is no searching of fridges when entering the EU from UK, but if we had any livestock diseases in UK such as FMD you could expect that to change.

I read somewhere the other day on one of the forums (Cant remember which one) that they were searching some fridges. Personally I think its maybe something we should be taking seriously and not bending the rules on. Hopefully it won't be a permanent thing.

My van was checked, including the fridge, going through customs to Northern Ireland going onto the Cairnryan to Larne ferry.

Turns out the customs woman had always fancied a monocoque camper like what ours is ... :ROFLMAO: 😄

When I asked them about FMD checks they said they knew nothing about it, but powers that be would let them know if/when they needed to do anything 🤷‍♀️

Does anyone know if things like chocolate and dog food are included?

Doubt it.

Chocolate goes through a lengthy production process, including heat? Should be OK?
(excluding Cadbury, which has hardly any chocolate or milk in it these days 😜 🤮).

And dog food is normally in tins, packets or pouches, so I would think again already super processed and zapped to death (unless you make your own)? 🤷‍♀️

You can always send a few emails or chatbot with the relevant UK bodies for current customs checks just to make sure?
(for what good it'll do! Me? Cynical?! Naaah... 🙄:ROFLMAO:  )

Strange. No check at Calais either.
If there is a problem you'd think all the points of entry (steady?) would be notified
