GHIC (UK Global Health Insurance Card)

Applied for one for my granddaughter yesterday....hopefully will arrive before 23/4!
Was impressed with how simple it was to apply.

Discovered my EHIC had expired and applied for GHIC . Friend apparently has been waiting over a month !
Hope to be away mid March , anyone have recent experience applying for this ?

call 0300 330 1350 and ask them to email you a PDF copy for the EHIC or fax you (worked for me) you can use this as evidence as it will have unique reference number and save you keeping the original on you incase you lose your wallet etc - paul

Thanks from me also alcam, I've just discovered that for the last two years we have been roaming abroad without a valid EHIC or the new version so I am now applying for it.
