Gas fire

Hmm, I bow to your superior knowledge.

Err nope it's called blown air heating, I think Alde is the only real one, but underfloor would be the very best.

That is just the different technology to provide the central heating though. The effect or end result is the same I would argue. If its all over the van and is thermostatically controlled then I would class it as central heating. You want your van to maintain say 20c then it will do that through its central heating system. Makes no difference if its Alde, Truma or underfloor the end result is the same. If we are going to get nitpicky that is. :D

I have a USB rechargeable fan that is positioned to blow downwards across the front. This distributes the heat brilliantly and without the heat losses through the ducting.
I also use a USB rechargeable fan but with a 650w oil filled heater, we have had a central heating problem at home and for the last five weeks I have used this heater with the fan behind it in the house, I was amazed at the difference it made, it doesn't dry the air the same as a fan heater either.
The fan was purchased from Amazon after a recommendation from campervanannie

Any heat source that circulates the, heat via ductwork or pipe work and radiators can be classed as central heating ...

We tend in the UK to use the term 'central heating' to refer to a wet system using radiators ...

Central systems in the US tend to refer to ducted air systems WITH AC/Furnace/boiler at their heart .

Interesting, wonder what the real definition of central heating is?

You could probably heat a van up using the hob, but you wouldn't call that central heating, would you?

Without knowing any better, I'd call central heating a wet system with radiators.
