Diesel is cheaper than petrol in the rep of Ireland. Fuel down there has been given a subsidy by cutting some of the tax on it. Diesel was reduced by about 20c per litre. Now some stations are cheaper than N. Ireland, the first time for ages.
We used to fill before getting on the ferry in Dublin for France, but not for a few years now. France was/is cheaper.

Asda Kirkcaldy 191.7p and price differential against petrol 35p per litreThe cheapest diesel around Dewsbury is £183.7 no movement in price at all.
Bit high for h oil.Yes, many garages now at £1.79, but my local garage (circle K) is doing diesel at £1.76 today which is unusual as they are normally about 3p dearer than the lowest prices in the area.
Mind you heating oil has only fallen from £1100 to £933 for 900Litres. A big consideration here in N. Ireland where most homes are heated with oil. The price was around £500 for 900L before this all kicked off. Still I suppose we should be happy that diesel didn't double in price!!

Those of us who live in Scotland can enjoy its delights without burning diesel, and also save the extra £50 ... We even had some sunshine in Kirkcaldy yesterday as we walked to the Town Centre to return some goods ordered online and walked part of the return [uphill] journey; at 12,000 steps the hips began to protest, so we jumped on the bus ...So long as we can buy it we will use it.
A recent 1300 miles trip in Scotland cost an extra £50, I would sooner pay that than stay at home.
