Fuel Prices

Quite a few outlets here in N. Ireland are now retailing diesel at £1.74 which is pretty good (comparatively speaking).
However loads at £1.79 and many still in the region of £1.85
Curiously even before this upset to stability, N. Ireland fuel prices seem to be cheaper than G.B. No idea why this is since often cost of living here is a bit more expensive than your side of the sea. Mind you the fuel comparison is only based on comments posted on here by some of you.

Local Shell Station increased the diesel price to £1.969 2 days ago but reduced the differential against unleaded to 34p from 35p per litre ...

I’m still waiting on the price of chips to come back down from the great spud shortage sometime in the 70s so I’m not holding out much hope for the fuel prices coming down anytime soon

Tesco Blackpool still £1.869 and brother-in-law who fuelled up at Morrisons Fort William yesterday said £1.859.

Yeah you don't hear the expression 'Cheap as Chips' very often these days.

Tesco Ellon was £1.999 per litre for diesel. I filled up at Morrisons Peterhead for £1.897/litre. Like has already been said, when I need it, I just buy it.
