From Thailand TO Seattle or Vancouver and RV rental

After watching the above vidio with folk out in the back of beyond injoying life in freedom where as in england you stop a night somewhere are the authorities will be on you like a fly to sh-t, so much for our freedom and liberty, time folk made the voice heard & start to live.

There are still plenty of places you can stay overnight out in the back of beyond in England Trev.

It's the car parks that are the problem and they're not my cup of tea anyway, with a couple of exceptions.

a once nnly FINAL big trip ! (Rockies and Yellowstone)
The NW of US is still on our to'do list, so can't advise about that, but we have visited BC some years back. We flew into Vancouver, across to Vancouver Island, up the 'inside passage' to Prince Rupert (oo'er missus), across to Jasper, down the Icelands Parkway to Banff, across the south and up to Whistler, finishing back in Vancouver. We are not city/town people, so Jasper, Whistler, and Banff themselves didn't do much for us, but the countryside was great. Not sure on current 'offers', but we got a 'Parks Pass' (or whatever it's called) which covered us for entery to parks with parking, and many offers for free or discounted prices in places like hot springs etc. we found this very good.

I would love to do that trip Colin. Sadly Julie's condition means she can't go on a plane. :(

Blooming heck .that's exactly what we did in a hire car and hotels a few years back (4 of us ) also did the east coast of Canada last year..
Flying into Canada you need a canadian visa driving in you only need the USA visa.
So fly into usa and you don't need the canadian one driving in and out... we spent ages trying to get a canadian visa for Sally only for it to arrive at the last moment.
Have a great trip.

In 2020 we both got Canada visas and then you did not need a us visa for a land crossing. Is that still true ???

UK citizens just require an eTA to arrive by air into Canada, similar to a US ESTA.
