I'd extract in this situation because it takes the fan out of the crud under a moving van and allows an insect screen.
Thus installation us for a compressor fridge which is inherently more effective than adsorption fridges by virtue of the pump circulating the refrigerant.
Of course any fridge works better if the heat can be dissipated more effectively.
However I do think that bringing fancy fluid dynamics into sticking an unducted cheapo fan onto a fridge is a bit OTT
