I guess we don't have a lot of choice with motorhomes though but so far I have been lucky with the two I have had engine wise and the type of driving is generally suited to diesels. There is usually a good long run involved. You do read a fair few horror stories though and just hope it won't happen to you.

When i worked for toyota it was common for hi ace vans and 1500cc coronas to do over 300k miles trouble free, only other car to do that was one of my sodas which did 314k with long fast driving.

Citrone ds3 diesel the mk1. Had mine 16 years zero road tax until this year when Rachel from accounts said she wants £20 for her imaginary black hole. Go for the sports one.

Only a pup, my last soda was 22 years old and on forth time round the clock, bought it at 7 years old for £10 and sold for £600.

The 1.0 engines are terrible and a rebuild is more than the car is worth, regardless of mileage

Never buy a Ford Powershift Automatic gearbox regardless of what model it is in.

Still junk, over 40 years working on cars, not even in the top 40 of cars to buy, always look at what machanics drive.

Rubbish. It is a normal, sensibly engineered supermini. Like all "super minis" its designed to crumple on impact not stay rigid. It doesn't score particular high or low in crash tests. Middle of the pack but you are always going to be a bit more vulnerable in a small car than you are in a monster SUV but try driving one of them around some of the lanes here or Richmond and Barnard Castle. Right PIA.

The build quality to me feels way better than others I looked at in that category.
