Two weeks walking in the Ardennes because we are not softies. No sunshine and Sangria for us thank you very much.

Remembering that the weather on the north Spanish coast is usually the same as England I would head south if I was you.
Not straight to Madrid but slightly towards the Portuguese border.
Salamanca, palencia, this is a lovely part of Spain. Good roads, nice towns.

Thanks - Did the North Spanish coast a couple of years ago this time of year and enjoyed a quiet time with pretty good weather. Temps around 15-20c so not bad. Think we will head south this time as forecasts look warmer down there.
