I reckon you will change your mind when you use it in winter. My last van was an a class and I was quoted £500 for a cover so I never bothered. But in winter mornings I could fill my karcher twice from what came off the windows, and there was an area at the bottom of my windscreen covered in mould. Now with the external cover the karcher is redundant, and the van is warmer.

We had one for a good few years on out first van, so we know hiw good they are. It is the storage space that's the problem.

Shame your Taylormade is for the earlier Ducato, ours is a new shiny one so it won't fit.

Always put the Taylormaid covers on if its cool/cold and turn the ventilation to recirc position, not so often in summer unless its hot, easily stored in the garage.

We have a set of Silver Screens branded ones and use them all year around. As mentioned helps in the winter when it is cold and the summer with the heat. We have never had condensation when using them. After each trip, if they are damp, I put them on a clothes horse inside our house overnight so they can dry out.

If I had known of Tailor made, I would have no doubt have bought from them.
I really value most opinions on such matters on here.
I bought my Milenco covers for £70 unused from a private seller on eBay, normally they’re around £100. They fit easily, I have had no condensation whatsoever even at minus 8C. They seem very water resistant, and they pack into a bag 50 X 50 X 15cm. But were I do reckon the tailor made covers will be better is in summer. The bright silver finish will reflect sunlight far better than mine. Which is why I asked the original question, should I carry them in summer.
So I reckon if I had the tailor made covers I would, but not the ones I currently have. I may consider buying the tailor made ones in future.

Mine folds very flat Bill (SS or Taylor made - I can't remember).

Would it not go under a mattress?

I generally don't really like drinking out of either Tim much preferring a proper pint from a pub.

However, I do keep a couple of crates of cans of Old Speckled Hen in the van, just for emergencies you understand.

Like using the alcohol to sterilise the wound site if you cut yourself, Rob? That's the excuse I used when the Police stopped me ...

We're delighted with every aspect of it, the fit, the quality and the affect it has on the van. I would have one again in a heartbeat.

I use a ‘Polar’ made screen cover which doubles as a mossie screen as well. It is a lot thinner than the normal thermal screen and rolls up quite nicely. It is virtually the same size as the thermal screen and has the same ‘3 piece’ design, it is not quite as good in the cold but does stop condensation and in the sun does a very good job of keeping the van cool. The side windows can be left open for ventilation as well as the blind acting as a privacy screen.

Not as far as I'm aware, David, especially where Remis Blinds are involved. Our Taylormade has a velcro stripat 45 degrees at the opening edge of the door, but I have never been brave enough to separate the 2 velcro surfaces! I don't recall there being any instructions on separating this seam, either. I try to get anything I need from the door pockets before fitting the screens, and if I need cab access, I either do it from the habitation area, or open the driver's cab door slightly and flick the opening corner off the door. Unless it's quite windy, this can be done without losing the entire screen!

The Silver Screen brand have a velcro loop which goes around the wing mirror pillar. Undoing that bit would let you open the cab doors I'm sure. The blind itself is still attached to the door via a pocket which slips over the top corner edge.
