Exmouth Sea Front Motorhome Ban

I was on Queens Drive in the car two weeks ago. 37 vans, several with chairs and tables on the pavement and one guy with his back end taking over most of the pavement and his table and chairs taking up the next space. Several cars drove off because they couldn't park.

I've seen similar and this is why a daytime ban would seem the obvious answer.

There is an article in Devonlive stating the council hopes to net £50,000 from this scheme - a bit optimistic from Moho owners I have spoken to.

Exmouth seafront camper van and motorhome ban comes into place very soon - Devon Live

So this council are providing 70 motorhome spaces and some are still complaining ? I think this council , and any other doing similar , should be congratulated and encouraged .
Many coastal places in France , the mecca for many motorhomers , don't allow motorhomes in the prime spots .

That must have been a monster of a van to take up most of the width of that pavement, I have a large overhang when I park there is still loads of room for pedestrians mobility scooters pushchairs and people walking 4 abreast but I agree putting out tables and chairs etc on the pavement is a definite no no.

Do they not have any parking enforcement officers in that area? If someone parks wrong around here they soon get a ticket slapped on or worse. If vans are causing obstructions then surely they should get towed for obstructing the highway?
