Just merely pointing out that NOT dipping these vehicles could be an expensive mistake .
As when the oil pressure warning light comes on it can be too late .

100% and fooked bearings, sory to say the ford 2.2 gets a bad name in the trade, hope all is well, dont drive or stsrt it if no oil on the dipstick, faulty oil sender no prob, drive to garage.

Dipstick shows plenty of oil though very black considering it had a full service on 5/7/24

Diesel engine oil will turn black almost immediately when it's been changed ...just the nature of the beast ;-)

Well it’s gone off to the garage for them to sort out it’s sorted soon.

Google search recommends 5w 40 or 5w 40 which is best for a Fiat Ducato 2.2

Just said it could be as simple as a sensor or as complicated as the oil pump so they suggested piggy backing tote garage

Fingers crossed it's the oil pressure sensor then

On some engines there is a point on the block where a gauge can be screwed in to see oil pressure iliminating pump falure , seldom does this happen.

Ok so who gets the point for suggesting that the service light was not reset correctly, because it appears that’s what it was an apology from the garage and nothing to pay as it was their fault

It might be service due light as it may not have been reset at service?
