Electrolux Fridges

I actually found the 240v fridge had, more useable space in it than the, dometic 3 way it replaced...
Though I deliberately chose a 240v one without an icebox as we have, a 12v compressor Waeco 40l cool box that we use as a small chest freezer for longer trips.

I contacted Jackson’s who replied that pcb currently out of stock and will amend when back in. In their dreams

I love my compressor fridge but it does need lots of power. Mine is 110 litre Waeco and averages 48ah per day, I believe the 50 litre models use about half of this. Be aware of power needs before changing from 3 way fridge 👍

I thank you for your advise. Not as a result of your post, but I am now between and betwixed. Technical, I like the 240v conversion as it makes it simple and easily replaced in the future, if faulty. I appreciate the battery needs but I am going to update my solar considerably and would hope that when in Spain this will sustane the fridge. My only concern is a compressor fridge noisey although we have parked up nex/on busy roads I can hear "that fridge". from the OH. Ågain nothing is cast in stone ans I can retuirn to a 3 way.
Just had treatment for macular and these black balls that are appearing may be the part reason for my spelling/grammer errors althouth the low flyer may be an influence.

Sounds about right Neil, my Vitrifrigo 12V compressor is 60 litres and roughly falls in with your figures.

Can you recommend a fride? I have an inverter.
It's not so much having an inverter. You also need enough solar panels to power the fridge in average weather and enough batteries to power it in bad weather and at night.

I would try to get the existing fridge repaired, failing that I'd replace it with an equivalent three-day one. Electric fridges will mean paying a lot for power setups, or alternatively endless worry about power.

I thank you for the very informative reply that has decided me on which way to go. Can I assume that you have no rear ventilatiom resulting on internal grills? Now on the lookout for a low powered 240v compressor fridge and hope I can get the same bargain.
Regards
Hamish
I did not require the grills but fitted anyway, back of fridge is sealed, no idea how it cools but it does and very well to, and uses very little power.

Thanks very much for all the great advice - it's much appreciated :) Unfortunately, the years and winters have taken their toll and the back of the fridge is really rusty. :)
