It’s certainly not a new idea, I wonder how many people know that Dr Ferdinand Porche’s first project in the 1890’s was an electric car with a separate motor on each wheel.
The car was called the “Lohner Porche” which was first shown at the Paris World Fair in 1900 where it caused quite a stir.
