Dunkirk parking

Julian @yeoblade has just kindly called me from the UK on his French sim to my French number and it worked. I could also call him back. I can now call my own phone from Michelles Reglu phone / sim and vice versa and it works. Its bizarre but I did restart my phone this morning and I think I might have messed up the number yesterday calling from Michelles phone but at least we now have both our French numbers stored in each others phones and they work. Thanks Julian.

However I Can't dial either of our UK mobile numbers from the French sim which is not a problem really. We still have our UK Talkmobile numbers active in the same phones.

Still get a technical error trying to activate the Reglo sim on the app though but I guess it doesnt matter for now at least. Ill cross that bridge when I come to it in 29 days time.
Without checking, I think that you'll find that the basic package doesn't include international calls (including calls to UK mobiles that just happen to be in France). As the data was presumably working, the SIM clearly didn't require reactivation; the single-use 16-digit reactivation code (which can be used by calling a freephone voice server) is clearly printed on the TICKET D'OUVERTURE DE LIGNE that you should have received on purchase (along with various other bits of paper). The SIM carrier that you binned bears the 14-digit SIM identification number that you were being asked for as well as the PUK which can be handy to have in the event of issues.

Thanks. That explains it then although we couldn't call each other this morning until Julian called me on his French SIM. We can now though.

Michelle will have kept all the stuff that got printed out at the till for sure.

What is the view on the 'Free' sims in France, we used them 3 years ago with good results. It was just for one month and we used it in our mifi for when we were away from any other sources. I bought it from a 'Free' shop, the assistant was helpful to a degree but not overly patient. I have seen instructions for how to get the sim at a machine at the hypermarkets, I may well give it a try.

I did have a SIM with Free.fr last year but ditched it in the end to keep it simple and have 2 sims on my Reglo Account, It worked fine and was easy to end contract without commitment.
Probably easier just to pop in to a Leclerc and pick up a Reglo though, little difference in tariffs. on Reglo you can change tarrif each month to suit you needs, not sure how easy that was with Free.

The internet as got to rat sh*t here. Since there was a huge running event yesterday, thousands of people and scorchio weather its packed up! The only place I can get a dial up type connection is with the phone in the skylight :D

Don't think its just us though as I just extended our stay again and had to pay cash as all their phones and machines are down.

I panicked a bit as Michelle got a text saying she was near the end of her data and it looked like it came from Reglo but it must have been talk mobile as it says you have 2gb of 5gb left which is the stingy roaming allowance from TM.

A bit of help please from you Reglo experts.

Its getting near to our first top up for both our sims. We got them 25th of June. I have found the link to recharge here https://www.reglomobile.fr/recharger-mon-forfait and I know both our numbers. In the second field it asks what amount you want to charge in Euros. We paid €9.80 each but on the site now it lists the 200gb as €7.80. https://www.reglomobile.fr/forfaits-mobiles what should I do?

Is that literally it. Put in your number, the amount and pay? Sounds too easy for France! :D

Yes, that's pretty much it. Get the credit in the account for the current price. Simples!
