Click on "Je recharge" and then use the left-hand section to specify mobile number, amount of credit that you wish to add for that number, tick the Conditions of Use checkbox and proceed to the card payment section. You can top up any time before expiry of your current term.

Repeat for second number.

I'll start a proper "Hank the Tank epic adventures" thread tomorrow but in the end we never stopped and Dunkerque or Bergues for SIMs. The schedule just looked like it would get Fubared and as we were heading back into France south of Luxembourg the next day I left it until this morning. What a feckin PIA. Not only did they want both passports (Two sims) but also an address which I had read they might ask for and I had one but then couldn't find on my phone. I ended up just googling any campsite address and they accepted that. We then had to go through it all again for the second SIM for Michelle. Then there was a massive conflab about numbers and I think they were wanting to know if I wanted any French number or my number transferring. So I frantically started typing stuff into Google Translate. We were at the actual till for over half an hour! Worra carry on.

Anyway I just stuck them in and they just worked. Loads of text messages and ill need to figure out how to top them up before 30 days time but not as easy as people have said to buy them (Thionville)

Maybe. He was super calm, friendly and helpful but obviously a big fan of the French bureaucracy. Much of the confusion I think was over the number transfer which obviously I didn't need or want but I think that is what he was asking me.

I was Unaware that you could port from another country, which I don't think is possible anyway

Yep. It wasn't. I think that was the issue. He was asking me for a mobile number and I assumed he wanted it for yet another level of security but yes I think he was trying to port it! I remember him saying this was not a French number and it was then I twigged what he was trying to do.

Has anyone managed to create an account on a browser for the Reglo sim? I have but when I get to the bit where it asks for my phone number to receive a text for validation it keeps saying a technical error occurred. Its the right format. I can't download the app either I dont think without changing my playstore payment profile to France and then you cant change it back for a year. There are ways to download it outside of the playstore but Im not keen on that.

What device are you using for the app? Play Store tells me that it is not available for any of my devices (including a smartphone running Android 11), but not sure whether that's due to the devices or the fact that I have a UK IP address and a UK residential address.

I created an account many years ago when login was through E.Leclerc and it is still operational. However, unless you wish to modify your package from month to month, it's an unnecessary complication. Given how long ago it was, I don't recall whether there was any SMS validation, but if so I would have used the Réglo Mobile number (probably with the initial zero rather than +33 unless the input form suggested different). If you were inputting a UK number, that might have been the problem.

Its down to your playstore registered country. As said you can change it but it has to be changed for 365 days. Im on Android 13.

The other way is to download it from another source and allow your phone to install no verified apps but I dont fancy doing that. ITs not that important. I just like to keep tabs on stuff etc but there is no way on earth both of us will use up our 200gb allowance. Obviously the 250gb is only if you sign up for monthly billing. If its dead easy to do that with your link each month ill just do that.

Yes! I was probably using my Reglo sim in my router and for account and installing the app too, BUT I didn't change phone to french profile . (However AliExpress annoyingly thinks I'm French now ).

I think there may be an issue with our Reglo Sims. Neither of us can make or receive calls on them. I can see my French number in my phone settings but if I try and call it from Michelles phone either directly using her Reglo sim or using her Talkmobile UK sim with the +44 all we get is a load of French jabbering (some kind of pre recorded voice error message). Same if we try it the other way round. I still get "technical error" when I try and validate the sim on the Reglo account website I created also.

Any ideas?

There is an option to activate your sim on the website but it requires a 14 digit number. I dont have one.

Julian @yeoblade has just kindly called me from the UK on his French sim to my French number and it worked. I could also call him back. I can now call my own phone from Michelles Reglu phone / sim and vice versa and it works. Its bizarre but I did restart my phone this morning and I think I might have messed up the number yesterday calling from Michelles phone but at least we now have both our French numbers stored in each others phones and they work. Thanks Julian.

However I Can't dial either of our UK mobile numbers from the French sim which is not a problem really. We still have our UK Talkmobile numbers active in the same phones.

Still get a technical error trying to activate the Reglo sim on the app though but I guess it doesnt matter for now at least. Ill cross that bridge when I come to it in 29 days time.
