Yes years ago yoused an egg also musderd, that was on a Themes Trader, delivering coal all day, 6 days a week.

UPDATE

Just come back from a weekend away to IOM on the motorbike, superb weather and a fantastic island.
As a matter of interest there seemed to be plenty of places to "park" your van in and around the island. I doubt TT week would be the same though. :)

Mechanic booked to come to my home this Saturday (18th) and replace the radiator.
Price £170
Seemed a reasonable price to pay for a proper job, and maybe I can help and learn.

I think you have made the right decision Beemer because I wouldn't mind betting that engine access on your machine will be an absolute nightmare!

If however it had been a different type/make of van with a far more accessible engine then I would have suggested you ought to do it yourself.

I think access is reasonable, there is a screwed down flat metal plate of about 4 inches across, and two accessible cross members to remove in front and behind the air con rad and vehicle rad.
The vehicle battery was very difficult to get to as it is situated off to the left and almost behind the engine, requiring me to lift, and angle the battery to get it out, and replace.
Looking forward to a master class in a radiator replacement, not sure if the mechanic realises that the air con rad may have to be moved.

The whole front panel screws of my iveco to work on donky, made it so easy doing the timing belt.

What a surprise (not) mortorhome has had to go to Barnsley instead of at home repair, then told I was underquoted after they have started the job, also told bonnet catch "fell off" getting the radiator out.

I organised this through "Click for Mechanic".
I have taken "before" photos, it will be interesting to see the finished job and how much it will cost me.

Photos before, showing that the rad needed changing:

A dirty engine bay is a sine of neglect, should be cleaned each night before bed:scared:naughty boy:lol-053:.
A estimate is as is and not always the true final price but unless secondary problems are found should be close .

It needs doing (cleaning too) :scared: I thought the quote was pretty good at £170, they did not say it was an estimate however, perhaps they will clean the engine bay for me too? :)

What is the garages name in Barnsley.

Alf

That digger has worked at least 8 hrs most days for the last 4 yrs not many people with vans work them for that long. I'd not hesitate to repair a radiator leak with Kseal and feel confident with the repair in any vehicle I owned

Was hoping your answer would be yes

To be honest a quote is a quote not just an estimate.
