Quite frankly for all you can drink up here it’s not worth the bother.
When going out for a meal I have a glass of wine with my meal and that’s that if driving.
Some simply don’t drink at all.
If heading into Glasgow we get the bus in and the last bus home.
I don’t know how many more driving years I have left, but I don’t want to lose some due to being over the limit, and also there’s the shame attached to it.
Nah, I don't drink like I used to, maybe a schooner of Sherry at Christmas and a bit of Communion Wine when I go to Church. I'm pretty much Tee Total these days.
In fact, my life has changed a lot since I became a habitual liar.
A while back it was reported that approx 30% of drink driving offences in Scotland involved drivers outwith Scotland who were either ignorant of the drink driving laws in Scotland or who had simply forgotten. Pointing out that our dd limits are the same as France is really unnecessary, the limits up here are based on the figures used in many if not all EU countries. When traveling to a foreign country you are much more likely to be aware of this difference, than simply driving over the border to a different part of the U.K.. I was merely attempting to remind those who might be driving up here in their cars or vans of the difference, to help avoid anyone from being prosecuted.
Especially as someone may not even notice they have crossed over the border into Scotland. It is not as if there are any Border Guards or customs, just the occasional "welcome to Scotland" (or England if going the reverse way).

I take quite a few meds morning and night, the intructions almost always say may cause all kinds of things, if affected do not drive, there are a couple I can't take in the morning or I'd wreck the van.
