As we got closer we saw it wasn't a dog it was an old lady squatted down having a crap.

That reminds me of Alice Springs, the Abo women going on the roadside verge right outside the public toilets, then chucking up a handful of dirt. Classy women!

To some the idea of using a public toilet is disgusting. Im sure you are aware that Aborigines until very recently roamed in exceedingly sparsely populated areas where having a dump wherever they fancied caused no problems. Taking a dump in the same spot where a stranger did one 5 minutes before is likely not appealing for a number of reasons, one being is western toilets mean sitting on the same surface as the previous users sweaty arse, many millions of Asians feel the same (I see their point). I also suspect they aren't particularly impressed that a single flush uses a days worth of drinking water and also that someone has go in there and clean it all using more water mixed with chemicals.

Probably think 'strange white folk all dump in the same place and then have to clean it'

My Wife and Son got a shock when I picked them up from Jo'burg Airport and drove them to Secunda (about 100 miles). They saw a number of black willies as the locals tend to just pee by the side of the road.

Unfortunately another thing to consider is the way their community is treated they might have been not to use them even if they wanted to

It’s good and informative,..but id ad that only one looks to be “wild“ camping and I’m not an expert but that doesn’t look like scotland anyway?
