Afternoon all.
Some advice needed please.
We have a coach built Roller team T line 700.
Over the lounge area there is a fixed roof light (doesn’t open) this has a crack in it right on the edge through both skins of the plastic.
The window is slightly curved to follow the roof.
I have been searching for some time to try and find a replacement but have found now it is obsolete.m and I can’t find any secondhand ones.
I have contacted some companies who make them but none will make this due to the curve.
My only option now is to call the insurance but I’m told that if they can’t source or replace it they are likely to write the vehicle off?
Any advice please?
Thanks
D

It has leaked into the van and in between the two skins of the window.
I’ve stopped the leak but it now has condensation in it

Can I ask has anyone had a van written off because for eg a panel couldn’t be sourced ?
Thanks

Is it the same size as this one?

Normally the polycarbonate windows have a name etched from the maker as roller team wouldnt make the window, there will be a company out there to make one for you, its just a long search

I've read elsewhere that Roller Team in Italy will give you a part number but it will probably be wrong. Somebody else had the same problem and contacted them and they sent the wrong part (twice) from Italy, so be very careful if you go down that route!

There is a name and a generic ref number for polyplastic in Holland. I’ve contacted them they ref you back to a company called caravan crazy which I had already contacted only to be told they can’t get it.

I had the problem of bespoke parts becoming obsolete too soon when I had my Lunar, so I do sympathise.

If, ultimately, you really, really can't find a replacement then you could consider making up a frame to remove the curvature and fit a flat window instead. Use a hardwood such as Iroko which is not expensive and will never rot. Perhaps, stain it black to match your decals.

Wonder would a few holes drilled into inner panel ease/stop the condensation

Could the crack be repaired with something like Bondright WC102 from bondright,co,uk? they have several caravan window repair adhesives.
